Custom Orthosis (Splinting)

Edmonton Hand Institute & Physiotherapy provides custom orthoses. An orthosis is a medical device such as a splint that immobilizes, supports, or treats muscles, joints, or skeletal parts which are injured, deformed, weak, or ineffective. At EHIP we use lightweight thermoplastics and mold them to your upper extremity. They are used as an alternative to casts to protect and rest your hand/wrist, as well as to prevent/regain motion.

We also measure and order custom silver ring splints and orthosis made of silver or gold.
